Every major facility from which Heathfield pupils benefit today, from the Chapel, Sports Hall, Swimming Pool, Performing Arts Centre, STEM Building, grand piano to the Recording Studio, have only been made possible over the years, by the unwavering generosity of the Heathfield Family.
As Heathfield’s Sixth Form Centre Fundraising Campaign enters its Final Furlong, we would like to send out an enormous thank everyone in the extended Heathfield Family, who have raised, donated and supported this most ambitious Sixth Form Centre Project - starting with our very own girls, who have led by example.
SELF-BELIEF
In addition to academic success, there is a committed focus on preparing each Heathfield Girl for life beyond the school gates (further education or career paths) with an internationally recognised set of skills being developed as part of the S.P.I.R.I.T. (Sense of Community; Problem Solving; Independent Learning; Reflective; Individuality; Teamwork) programme.
We recognise that an important part of the Heathfield Sixth Form experience is the opportunity to undertake positions of leadership and responsibility, from becoming a prefect, steering one of the many societies and committees, becoming a mentor to a younger pupil to self-discipline, self-motivation and self-belief.
The new Sixth Form building has been designed to reinforce these skills, make the S.P.I.R.I.T. programme accessible and deliverable to our pupils, within an environment where they are supported by staff, peers, visiting experts, worldwide guest speakers, deeply-committed Governors and our invaluable Heathfield Old Girls Fellowship.
